Working with the Extended schools initiative

'ArtsBeat' is working with community development and youth services to develop projects and bids for the extended schools agenda seeking to partner with local churches. 'ArtsBeat' is bringing churches together to share visions and talents, translate these into projects and manage applications for extended services. 'ArtsBeat' is developing a template approach for churches to develop their own Arts strategy to meet their own vision and the needs of the community:

Working with the vineyard church to complete an extended arts application to do arts activities including a possible venue for an arts centre working in partnership with the borough.

At St Mary’s Twyford the church are now represented on the board for extended schools in their area and are putting in an application for funding to extend their afterschool clubs and becoming a new venue for Arcs? Counselling service for young people and families across the borough.
