Local Schools in Woodley

There are seven primary schools in Woodley, which includes  two church schools - Woodley Church of England Primary and St John Bosco Catholic Primary school. Most of the schools were built in the 50s, 60s and 70s when there was great expansion in Woodley, but the Church of England Primary is by far the oldest school, being founded in 1855.

There are two secondary schools in Woodley - Bulmershe School - which used to be the local grammar school, and Waingel's College, originally opened as Waingels Copse in 1971.
